CRAFT Partners

EKU CRAFT, through partnerships with for-profit and nonprofit organizations, provides the basis for a new and sustainable fuel production industry in Kentucky that will ultimately have a global impact.

General Atomics (GA), headquartered in San Diego, CA, serves as the technical lead for CRAFT's Cellulosic-Derived Biofuel Initiative. GA specializes in diversified research, development and manufacturing in defense, energy and other advanced technologies with experience in alternative fuels research and development.

Additional CRAFT partners involved in the research, support and development of a new alternative fuel industry in Central Kentucky include Kentucky State University, Lextran, Green Earth Biofuels of Kentucky, the City of Winchester, KY, Commerce Lexington, East Kentucky Power Cooperative, Appalachian Regional Commission, the Kentucky Agricultural Development Board and several others.
